First Collaborative Class with a Junior High Special Need Class

Empowering students to experience the joy of self-paced learning and the thrill of accomplishment through "Typing Challenge" and the Claude Code/Codex-powered "English Vocabulary Quiz."

On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, learningBOX, Inc. will host an e-learning trial class tailored for up to 25 special needs students at Tatsuno Municipal Tatsuno Higashi Junior High School in Hyogo Prefecture.
This program is designed to help each student discover the joy of learning at their own pace by utilizing typing modules from the "learningBOX" platform alongside "Eitango (English vocabulary) Quiz"—a free educational game developed by our CEO, Yoichiro Nishimura, using Claude Code and Codex. As a locally rooted business, we welcome this opportunity to inspire young learners in the community while deepening our ties with regional educational institutions.

Fulfilling our commitment as a local enterprise to bring the joy of learning to community children.

Tatsuno Higashi Junior High School, the venue for this upcoming class, holds special significance as the alma mater of our CEO, Yoichiro Nishimura. Our relationship with the school began last year when we hosted their students for the internship program, and our subsequent dialogue sparked a shared vision: "We want to use ICT to show local children how engaging learning can be."

Our e-learning platform, learningBOX, will celebrate its 10th anniversary this coming September. While the platform has grown into a nationwide service trusted by corporations and academic institutions alike, this initiative marks our very first classroom collaboration within Tatsuno City, home to our corporate headquarters.

We are deeply motivated by a desire to channel our years of expertise in educational services back into the community, giving local children a genuine sense of achievement and the confidence to say, "I did it!" This upcoming class aims to cultivate a genuinely positive attitude toward education by leveraging digital materials that adapt seamlessly to the individual pace and comprehension levels of special needs students.

About the Typing Challenge

"Typing Challenge" is an interactive experience previously featured at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo's "Mirai Kids Lab: Play with Your Mind and Body" within the EXPO Messe WASSE. The exhibit drew 307 participants ranging in age from 4 to 90, demonstrating its universal appeal across generations. By challenging users to type displayed words and phrases quickly and accurately across five distinct difficulty levels, it offers a fun way to build focus and a sense of achievement.

Driven by the national GIGA School Concept, proficient typing has emerged as a foundational digital skill for today's youth. The "Typing Challenge" featured in this class turns skill acquisition into a rewarding, gamified experience. Because students can choose from multiple difficulty levels, everyone can practice at a pace that matches their current ability. By accumulating these small victories, students can naturally boost their confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

Anyone can easily build custom content like this by leveraging the intuitive "Typing Material" creation feature built right into the learningBOX platform.
