Number of correspondence high school students at 264,974, a record high. Increasing trend makes the need for educational DX urgent.

According to the "Basic School Survey 2023 Finalized Figures" released by MEXT (the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology-Japan) on December 20, 2023, there were 264,974 students in senior high schools (correspondence courses) as of May 1, 2023. This is an 11.1% increase over the previous year and a record high.

Due to the special education zones introduced by the Koizumi Cabinet in 2003 as a deregulation measure, several joint-stock companies opened correspondence high schools after 2004. Furthermore, after the Corona Disaster of 2020, awareness of the correspondence high school system spread rapidly, and new correspondence high schools and campuses have been opened across the country. In addition, more and more high schools with full-time programs are offering correspondence courses, and it is known that many students are enrolling in correspondence high schools immediately after graduating from junior high school.

It is believed that this has something to do with the problem of students not attending school from elementary and junior high schools, but it can also be said that various demands have been created by the widening of options, including the ease of transferring to other schools and balancing off-campus activities such as sports, studying abroad, and the arts.

While the number of students in online high schools continues to increase, the administrative school amanement has been more complicating, and promoting digitalization in education becomes the urgent need. In addition to the curriculum and learning methods, it plays a crucial role to innovate the work efficiency and organizational structure for the effective school management corresponding to the situation.

Summary of Renaissance High School Group's Case Study

■ Background and challenges before its implementation
A mechanism was needed to implement the "three perspectives" evaluation following the revision of the Courses of Study.
I wanted to divide the questions according to the level of each student.
We wanted to run a smooth classroom operation for our approximately 8,000 students.
Administrative tasks such as new user registration were time-consuming.

Decisive factor for implementation
Because I met an engineer I could trust.
Because it had all the necessary functions and was easy to use.
To be able to request development of additional functions that you want

Effects after implementation
Requested development of functionality to support evaluation by 3 perspectives
Requested feature development and was able to proceed to solve problems according to their level
Functional development has allowed us to build a more optimal environment, and class operations are running smoothly.
API integration saves 192 hours of user registration work per year
