-Research Report on LMS Utilization at Medical Universities Also Released-
On November 10, 2022, Suzuka University of Medical Science (Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture; President: Nagayasu Toyoda) and learningBOX, Inc. signed MOU on industry-academia collaboration.
Under the comprehensive collaboration between the two institutions, a new initiative will be launched to train the next generation of medical and welfare specialists and to improve the university's education and research functions through the use of the e-learning system.
Background of the MOU
As a pioneer of the first "four-year medical university" in Japan, Suzuka University of Medical Science has trained specialists who will lead the next generation of Japanese medical and welfare professionals. The project was realized by meeting the needs of both Suzuka University of Medical Science and learningBOX, Inc., a company that has developed and provided e-learning systems that enable anyone to easily create a web-based learning environment based on the philosophy of "Change the world with the power of EdTech." The two companies will work closely together to disseminate the results of their activities and research to society at large, and to further develop practical applications and solutions to problems.

Compared the pass rates of qualifying exams between with and without e-learning system, "learningBOX", verifying the effectiveness of the system.
Systematize learningBOX Utilization for Effective Flipped Learning
Efforts to establish a method of using learningBOX for flipped learning, in which students study at home online before class, and conduct exercises and discussions in face-to-face classes
System Development for Adaptive Learning Based on Students' Skills and Performance
Development of a system that provides adaptive learning content based each student's situation aiming to enhance more efficient learning experience, and promotion of detailed educational guidance through the use of the system
Give Back to Society with Industry-Academia Collaboration
Work for better education, medical care, and a digital society by disseminating research results and findings obtained through this industory-academia collaboration.

It was the first "four-year medical university" established in Japan in 1991. It started out as a small university with two faculties and four courses of study, but has now become a "medical and welfare university" with four faculties, 10 courses of study, and 14 majors.
