e-Learning Supports HR Development across the Entire Logistics Industry
The case study of "eDriver"—an e-learning service specialized for truck drivers operated by Nippo Kohsoku Unyu Co., Ltd. (based in Aichi Prefecture, hereinafter "Nippo Kohsoku Unyu") using the cloud-based e-learning system "learningBOX" provided by learningBOX, Inc.—has won an award in the Recruitment DX category of the "SUCCESS STORY AWARD 2025." The awards are hosted by CreativeBank Inc. (operator of "Digitalization Window").
This project was highly commended for addressing the logistics industry’s labor shortages and safety education challenges. Rather than limiting the initiative to internal use, Nippo Kohsoku Unyu launched an e-learning business to provide educational content to other companies in the same industry, aiming to raise the standards of the industry as a whole.
About SUCCESS STORY AWARD 2025
The "SUCCESS STORY AWARD 2025" recognizes outstanding achievements among SaaS and IT service implementation cases in Japan. Rather than focusing solely on implementation records, the awards highlight the results achieved after implementation and how the services contributed to corporate productivity and Digital Transformation (DX). Awards are presented across nine categories, and Nippo Kohsoku Unyu was selected for the Recruitment DX category.

Challenges Facing the Logistics Industry
In the transport industry, statutory training regarding safe driving, accident prevention, and compliance is mandatory. It is crucial to provide necessary education to every driver without omission. Nippo Kohsoku Unyu previously conducted group training sessions between busy driving schedules and managed materials and attendance manually, but the heavy administrative workload was a significant challenge. Furthermore, with the rising need to hire foreign drivers in recent years, there was a demand for a way to deliver easy-to-understand, standardized training to personnel from diverse backgrounds.
Nippo Kohsoku Unyu’s Initiative
In response to these conditions, Nippo Kohsoku Unyu adopted "learningBOX" as its training foundation and launched "eDriver," an e-learning service specialized for truck drivers. They restructured the statutory training—previously conducted via paper or in-person sessions—into online materials, creating a learning environment where drivers can study during breaks in their routes. By combining videos, slides, and tests, they integrated the learning process with comprehension checks.
By continuously refining the content as original material specialized for the transport industry, they have expanded the service into B2B content available to other companies, moving beyond internal training.
Social Impact of the e-Learning Business Launch
With the introduction of "learningBOX," truck driver training has shifted to a format where "necessary content can be taken online at the necessary timing." Administrators can now track attendance and test results through the system, streamlining the verification of statutory training and record-keeping. Furthermore, the original content tailored to the realities of the transport industry has garnered attention among industry stakeholders, serving as a catalyst for sharing the company's safety education expertise as a new form of value.
*Statutory Training refers to the "12 Statutory Items" of safety education that operators must provide to drivers based on Article 10 of the Safety Regulations for Freight Automobile Transportation Business and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Notice No. 1366. This education is mandatory and must be implemented systematically throughout the year, forming the foundation of safety management in the transport industry.
A key feature of this initiative is that it does not stop at being a "company success story" but creates social value that ripples throughout the entire industry.

Message from Koji Deguchi, Director & Head of Business Development, N.P. Logi Co., Ltd.
(Currently developing, operating, and selling eDriver at N.P. Logi, a group company of Nippo Kohsoku Unyu)
"While 'safety' and 'training' are the most critical themes for a transport company, the reality is that daily operations are so demanding that it is difficult to allocate sufficient time or personnel. Nippo Kohsoku Unyu was once one of those companies facing this same challenge.
In that context, we had the opportunity to speak with learningBOX, Inc., and we began working on enhancing video materials and developing an e-learning environment under the name 'eDriver.' As a result, we realized a training environment where anyone can learn with consistent quality, anytime and anywhere. We simultaneously achieved a significant reduction in training costs and a dramatic increase in attendance rates.
Currently, we have commercialized 'eDriver' as a 'Safety Education Platform' that goes beyond simple e-learning, combining it with in-person training to deliver education directly linked to 'zero accidents.' eDriver is a service that supports the integration of safety education by transforming training from a 'task that tends to be postponed' into a 'sustainable system' and an 'essential initiative for accident reduction.' We will continue to contribute to the development of the transport industry and the realization of an accident-free society through both human resource development and accident reduction."
