Seminar Report] Suzuka University of Medical Science's know-how on the use of learning management systems is widely disclosed.

Suzuka University of Medical Sciences Educational Corporation (Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture; President: Nagayasu Toyoda) and learningBOX Corporation held a special webinar on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Many people attended and expressed a high level of interest and sympathy.


In this webinar, we invited faculty members from Suzuka University of Medical Sciences to talk about their know-how and specific initiatives that have enabled the university to achieve a 100%* pass rate on two national medical examinations in the five years since the university introduced "learningBOX".

*The pass rate for new graduates in clinical engineering is 100% in the 2024 National Examination for Clinical Engineering Technicians.
 2024 National Examination for Radiologic Technologists, the pass rate for new graduates in the Department of Radiologic Technology Science is 100%.

1. Dr. Shinji Tsuruoka (Department of Medical and Health Data Science)
Looking to the Future: Experiences in Successful On-Demand Teaching."

The program is all on-demand, so you can learn whenever and wherever you want, and enjoy learning cutting-edge content." The presentation included a 10- to 15-minute video, followed by an answer to a quiz.

2. Dr. Tetsushi Yae (Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences)
No more "I can't do it. We will work with you until you can do it.

He gave an overview of the university's focus on "education until you can do it to the last detail," and introduced an example of how the university's ranking in a national mock exam improved after the introduction of learningBOX by repeatedly solving problems in a "snowball" style, dividing them into smaller units.

3. Dr. Hiroi Muto (Graduate School of Radiological Technology and Science)
Behind the Scenes of the Introduction of Learning Box: LMS that Draws Out the "Can Do" in Students

The lecture introduced the path that led to the university's introduction of the LearningBOX system. He talked about the process of searching for the best system to solve the problems identified through interviews with students, and first introduced the system in one class in his department to demonstrate the effectiveness of the system.

4. Dr. Kanae Matsuura (Department of Radiological Technology and Science)
LearningBOX has changed the way we learn: Results and the next challenges we see".

Several years have passed since the introduction of learningBOX, and new issues that have emerged in an environment where the presence of learningBOX has become commonplace, as well as future prospects, were introduced. A participant asked a question about how to improve the grades of students in the bottom 5% of the class.

5. Dr. Hidekazu Miura (Department of Clinical Engineering)
"Publishing and Sharing National Exam Preparation Content Using learningBOX."

Cooperation among educational facilities is essential to increase the number of applicants for clinical engineering technician training programs and to enhance educational content, and "co-creation" rather than "competition" is necessary. The concept of content sharing and community formation to support those who want to become clinical engineering technicians was introduced.

Achieved 100% pass rate for national medical qualifications! Five years have passed since the introduction of "learningBOX" to the entire university. The Department of Clinical Engineering and the Department of Radiologic Technology Science both achieved a 100% pass rate in the 2024 national examinations.
