New features unlocked: Work-hour training for seamless HR compliance

Supporting Efficient Talent Development

learningBOX Inc. will be launching a new feature, "Group access settings," for its cloud-based e-learning system "learningBOX" on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
This new feature addresses a strong demand from companies wishing to ensure that employees participate in training only during working hours. Previously, it was difficult to provide clear evidence that training had been completed during official working hours when applying for grants and subsidies, as employees could access training outside of work. This created challenges in proving “training hours during work time,” which is a requirement for many such applications.
With this new feature, the system can precisely restrict and record training to within working hours, simultaneously enabling compliance with regulatory requirements, maximizing learning effectiveness, and streamlining the process of applying for subsidies.

Growing Demand for Reskilling and the Burden of Subsidy Applications

Since 2022, the Japanese government has been increasing its investment in "human capital," allocating one trillion yen over five years to support reskilling initiatives. In response, many companies have proactively engaged in upskilling their employees. However, to utilize grants or subsidies, organizations must provide clear evidence that training took place during official working hours.

On the ground, this has previously led to burdensome manual tasks, such as managing attendance using Excel or paper, leading to risks of errors in application documents. Additionally, cases where employees participated in training outside working hours were common, further increasing the burden on administrators.

Overview of the New Feature: Group Access Settings

Ensuring Training Takes Place During Working Hours
Admins can specify in detail which days and times logins are permitted. If a learner attempts to access the system outside allowed hours, login restrictions or automatic logout will be enforced.

Providing Necessary Evidence for Subsidy Applications
The system can output data confirming that training was completed during working hours, ensuring transparency and legitimacy when applying for subsidies.

Proper Management of Learning Hours and Improved Productivity
Employees can focus on learning during work hours, helping to better separate work and private life and contributing to higher productivity.

Flexible configuration and operational convenience
Owners can create up to 100 separate schedules, and the system can automatically reflect Japanese public holidays via API integration.

"Login Time Restriction Settings" supports the management of training strictly during official working hours, ensuring reliable records required for subsidy applications. It offers a safer learning environment for employees and helps companies advance their talent development more smoothly.
