Reducing Teacher Workload and Achieving Fair Assessment
On July 23, 2025 (Wednesday), learningBOX Inc. has implemented a new voice recording function designed for speaking assessments in our e-learning system, learningBOX. In addition, we have strengthened anti-cheating measures for tablets. With these enhancements, exams utilizing voice such as language assessments and Computer Based Testing (CBT) can be administered more flexibly and fairly. These feature upgrades support the increasing use of ICT in education.
Voice Recording

A new voice recording feature has been added to the report-style question format in “learningBOX,” making it possible to answer speaking assignments directly within the system. Previously, when language learners needed to submit oral responses, they had to record their answers using external tools such as voice recorder apps and then upload the audio files, making the submission process cumbersome.
With this latest feature, learners can now record and submit their voice responses directly on the learningBOX platform, streamlining the entire process within the system. This reduces the burden on learners and enables smoother, more efficient submissions.
In addition, Content managers can set a recording time limit, and graders can play back the submitted audio files directly within the system, significantly improving the efficiency of the assessment process.
Ant-cheating on Tablet Devices

With the widespread adoption of the GIGA School Initiative ini Japan, the learning devices distributed in schools now include not only laptops but also a significant number of tablets, leading to the expansion of ICT-based learning. Currently, as we move to the next stage, there is a growing need to address the requirements of "NEXT GIGA," which aims for more advanced and flexible learning environments.
In this latest update, we have newly implemented anti-cheating features that are compatible with tablets. These features automatically detect and control actions such as exiting full-screen mode or maximizing/minimizing the browser during exams, thereby reducing the risk of dishonest behavior. As a result, it is now possible to conduct fair and equitable testing operations, even in educational settings where a variety of devices are used.
